The Ten Commandments
十戒

First
“I am The Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.”
第一条：我是耶和华，你的神，将你们带出埃及，带出奴隶之家。除我之外，你不可有其他的神。

Second
“You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I The Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love Me and keep My Commandments.”
第二条：你不可为自己雕刻塑像，或是其他的天上、地上、地下的任何形象；不可拜跪或侍奉他们； 因为我，耶和华，你的神是忌邪的神，恨我的人我将追讨他们的罪，从父及子至三代四代，爱我而遵守我戒律的人，我将展示我的慈爱至千代。

Third
“You shall not take The Name of The Lord your God in vain; for The Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vain.”
第三条：你不可随意的称呼耶和华，你的神，的名字，耶和华不认为随意称呼他名字的人无罪。

Fourth
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to The Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your manservant, or your maidservant, or your cattle, or the sojourner who is within your gates; for in six days The Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore The Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
第四条：虔诚的牢记圣日。六天你要劳作，做你的工作，而第七日是耶和华，你的神，的圣日；那天你不应劳作，你，你的儿女，你的仆人，你的牛，你家中的寄居者；在六天内耶和华，你的神，创造了天堂，大地，海洋和其他的一切万物，在第七日休息了；因此耶和华赐福给圣日，定之为圣日。

Fifth
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which The Lord your God gives you.”
第五条：孝敬你的夫亲和你的母亲，这样耶和华，你的神，将赐予你更多的时间生活在地上界。

Sixth
“You shall not kill.”
第六条：你不可杀戮。

Seventh
“You shall not commit adultery.”
第七条：你不可奸淫。

Eighth
“You shall not steal.”
第八条：你不可偷盗。

Ninth
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
第九条：你不可作假证来陷害他人。

Tenth
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”
第十条：你不可贪恋他人的居所，你不可贪恋他人的妻子、他人的仆人、他人的牲畜以及其他一切属于他人之物。

偶然看到英文版的《圣经》将“十戒”用自己的理解又翻译了下。

“十戒”出自《旧约·申命记》。耶和华将“十戒”写于两块石板之上，戒告信徒们。

读着《圣经》里的文字，我突然觉得好平静。

前一阵儿的生活太追逐一些东西了，弄得失去了自我。

现在读着《圣经》的文字，我的心感到了前所未有的平静。我所追逐的东西真的要付出这么多？

我可能错了。
